You will be asked from time to time to pay for in some case books, pens etc.

How are lessons organised?
Regular attendance at lessons (complete with notes and instrument) is essential. Tutor will have a lesson plan which will contain;

What about practice?
It is important that the pupil is given a suitable place at home in which to practice. Encouragement will help enormously, feeling that practice is a form of drudgery is not good. Playing a musical instrument should be pleasurable! Beginners can manage on 20-30 minutes daily, and this will gradually increase to 45 minutes or more as advised by the tutor. Regularity is more important than spending a long time practising all at once.
